Here is my review of End of Watch.Is the ending a good ending? Yes! End of Watch is a great book and together with Mr Mercedes and Finders Keepers it’s a great story about the retired detective Bill Hodges.

James Franco To Star In New King Movie

Matt Rager, who collaborated with Franco on As I Lay Dying, The Sound and the Fury, and the forthcoming In Dubious Battle, will adapt King’s story. Franco and Vince Jolivette will produce under Rabbit Bandini Productions alongside Doug McKay, Robert Kaplan, Marc Senter, and Nathan Grubbs of Rubicon Entertainment. There is also a possibility that Franco will direct, but nothing has been confirmed.

Skarsgard is in final negotiations to star in the horror pic whose cast will also include St. Vincent actor Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor.
It's also interesting that they list six other actors. Not sure who they will play though.
What are your thoughts on Bill as Pennywise?

Port Hope eyed for remake of Stephen King’s ‘It’
PORT HOPE -- Pennywise the Clown could be terrorizing the streets of Port Hope this summer.
Third Act Productions has applied to film interior and exterior scenes of the upcoming feature film adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘It’ in the Municipality of Port Hope.
Based on the novel of the same name, ‘It’ follows seven young friends in 1989 who spend their summer battling an evil presence lurking beneath their small town.
The novel was adapted into a two-part ABC mini-series in 1990 starring Tim Curry in the titular role.
According to Variety, Will Poulter (‘We’re the Millers, The Revenant’) was last reported to don the red nose in Cary Fukunaga’s (‘True Detective Season One’) latest adaptation.
Filming is slated for various locations around the municipality between Monday, July 11 and Monday, July 18.
Filming times are currently to be determined, but the production company is requesting to shoot from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day. If the application is approved, the production company said it will have a “heavy” presence in the community.
“We are sensitive to the complexities of filming on location and we are aware that we are guests in your neighbourhood,” the production company wrote in a notice to residents. “Because of this, we endeavour to make it as uneventful an experience as possible for the residents and businesses closest to our work area and the neighbourhood in general.”
The production company has found potential locations to shoot, mostly in the downtown area. Here’s a preliminary shooting schedule:

• Intersection of Mill and Walton streets

• The alley between Gould’s Shoe’s and Avanti Hair Design

• Cavan Street between Highland Drive and Ravine Drive
• Victoria Street South between Trafalgar Street and Sullivan Street
Monday, July 18
• Watson’s Guardian Drugs
The municipality’s current policy doesn’t allow filming in the downtown area between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. So if the production company intends to use Port Hope as its backdrop, council will have to adopt changes to its film policy in order to allow filming downtown.
If approved, businesses that may be affected will have to privately negotiate with the production company for loss of business compensation.

Several years ago, there were talks that you were working on a Stephen King anthology film. What’s the status on that project?
Yes, ‘The Reaper’s Image’ — a Stephen King horror anthology film I wrote. Kind of a modern Creepshow, you know? There hasn’t been a Stephen King horror anthology film like this in almost 30 years, so it’s all very exciting. So, where it’s at right now… as I mentioned, there is a script, and the project is currently being handled by Stephen’s agent, Rand Holston, a really terrific and supportive guy and one of the best agents in town. A lot of people have been asking about it lately, tremendous interest building, so we’ll see. It would be an amazing project, no question about it.

Jordan: a 12-year-old-boy studying at prep school that was devastated by the Pulse, Jordan faithfully remains with the headmaster, Charles Ardai, until they destroy the flock at the school and Ardai is driven to suicide by the phoners. Jordan remains with the group and provides the intellectual theory and comparison of the effects of the Pulse to that of a worm in a computer.

Colleen Bement: What can you share about your experience making the upcoming film Cell?
Owen Teague: Cell was an amazing experience. That was my first time working on the set of a movie like that; heavy on stunts, special effects, blood, and science-fiction-horror stuff. Working with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson was incredible. Both are really intense and made that terrifying world feel real. Stacey Keach was also amazing to work with. The whole thing was kind of surreal, because leading up to getting involved with that movie, starting in middle school, I had become obsessed with everything Stephen King. He’s one of my favorite authors. And so actually playing one of his characters, and saying his words, and being in a movie he was so closely involved with was just insane. Especially a film with such amazing people working on it. And the other thing was that while we were shooting it, a movie about a kind of apocalypse, we got hit with this horrible, freak snowstorm in Atlanta. I think they called it “snowmaggedon.”The crew got stuck in the bar where we were filming for like two days. So there we were, making this movie about four people in the middle of the end of the world, and outside, people were stranded because of a giant snowstorm. Other than that though, it was a great experience.

A Great Week Is Ending

Another week is over and this week a lot happened. Marv opened his own store where you can order stuff with his cute face on. Yeah, you know you know his cute.
We got news about two new editions of The Shining. One from Cemetery Dance that will have the prologue Before the Play included and the other from The Folio Society that have new illustrations and a few will also be signed by King.
I posted my review of the upcoming book The Fireman by Joe Hill. I also got a chance to read King's story The Music Room from the anthology In Sunlight or In Shadow that will be release December 6 and let me tell you, it’s good!
The week ended with me getting the OK for a prize that I will use in a really great contest later this summer and Lou and me recording a new podcast in which we spoke to Jason Bremer about his part in 11.22.63.
What a week!
