News on volume 2 of The Secretary of Dreams from Cemetery Dance:

In other Stephen King news, we've received hundreds of emails asking about Volume Two of The Secretary of Dreams, and we're pleased to report that Glenn Chadbourne is nearing completion of the artwork! We expect to receive the first batch of illustrations this week, and the next batch soon after. The samples he already sent us are amazing and we can't wait to show them off.

We'll post more updates as this project gets a little closer to being officially announced, but we can tell you right now that we'll have an official procedure in place soon for "registering" your Limited Edition number from Volume One *IF* you bought your signed copy from someone other than Cemetery Dance or a few select booksellers.

If you ordered your Limited Edition directly from Cemetery Dance, we already have your number in our records and you will not have to do anything to get that same number on Volume Two! If you bought your Limited Edition of Volume One off eBay or through another source, you will have to provide proof of ownership to receive a matching number. We'll post complete details next time!

_
I just got some info from Cemetery Dance about The Secretary of Dreams and it seems that the official release date is on Monday, December 11. Here's more:

We'll begin shipping The Secretary of Dreams by Stephen King to our customers in the next couple of days so this is your last chance to preorder the first Limited Edition graphic collection of King's work! With a trimsize of 9 X 12 this is our largest book ever, and we think it's going to make an impressive addition to your collection. We've taken a picture of The Secretary of Dreams Gift Edition next to a copy of The Colorado Kid so you can get a feel for the size. You can find this picture in the special artwork and photo section for The Secretary of Dreams in our website's Photo Section.

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone on our staff is going to be working in the warehouse to ship this title, along with the additional staff we've hired just to work on this project, so there might be a delay in responding to emails and phone calls. Please do not call or email asking when your copy will ship. We're going to be working hard to ship the thousands of preorders as fast as possible. Thanks for your patience!

The Secretary of Dreams update

Posted: June 17, 2006, 00:11
_
This was sent out from Cemetery Dance today:

While The Secretary of Dreams by Stephen King is going through the last round of proofreading, Glenn Chadbourne has updated and modified a number of pages of the artwork, fixing small errors and making them even more detailed than before! Those of you who have seen his work in our other books (The Illustrated Stephen King Trivia Book, Cold River, Bedbugs, plus the endpapers for The Road to the Dark Tower and Stephen King: Uncollected, Unpublished, just to name a few!) know the level of detail we're talking about. There are items hidden in the artwork that you'll be finding years after you read it for the first time! To fully display the details of Chadbourne's amazing artwork, we decided on a 9 X 12 trim size for the book. This will be our tallest and widest book ever, and the final page count has come in at 281 pages. The Secretary of Dreams will be headed to the printer this month and we'll post a firm publication date once they're rolling and they give us a delivery date!

This interesting news arrived from Cemetery Dance today:

Today we have some exciting news for those of you who love Stephen King and Glenn Chadbourne's work as much as we do. After speaking with Chadbourne and receiving King's enthusiastic permission, we're working with our design team on t-shirts featuring stunning full-color reproductions of the cover art & design for each of the three editions of The Secretary of Dreams! These t-shirts will be made by the same company that produced our Halloween t-shirts last year so they'll be great quality.

The Gift Edition cover artwork will be reproduced on a black shirt.
The Limited Edition cover artwork will be reproduced on a sandstone shirt.
The Lettered Edition cover artwork will be reproduced on a cocoa (brown) shirt.

We plan to have the finished designs up on the site in a few days! Our designer is doing some final matching of the t-shirt materials to the graphical mock-ups right now.

These three amazing t-shirts are available in the following sizes for just $20 each plus shipping: S, M, L, and XL. You can upgrade to XXL or XXXL for just $5 more per shirt!

This will be an excellent addition to your Stephen King collection (how many fans do you know who own a Stephen King t-shirt, after all?) and an incredible way to show off Chadbourne's artwork around your hometown! Be sure to let us know what your friends, family, and coworkers think!

Don't wait to place your order because we're not sure what quantities we're ordering for each size yet and we'd hate for you to miss out!

Today I have a really interesting interview for you. It's with Glenn Chadbourne who has illustrated the upcoming King book Secretary of Dreams. In this interview he talks about the book, about Doug E Graves or "Dougie" as he is also called (the mascot he did for King's radio station)...and about another mascot he has done...
