The Road of Trials #4

The Talisman comic continues and Jack is getting closer and closer to the talisman. He does however have a long way to go still and he hasn’t meet up with Wolf yet either. So, even if we move along there are still a lot left to tell. This issue focus on when Jack gets a job at Oatley Tap and meet Elroy, a creature he want to stay as far away from as possible.

As usual the comic is quite well done, well scripted, illustrated and colored. I’m getting used to the way it’s drawn and likes it more and more for each issue. But I have said it again and again; I can’t see how they will be able to tell the entire story in this pace. There’s too much story and too little time…I do hope I’m wrong though.
With that said though it’s pretty effective that the issues are so connected to one or two events. It gives the creators a chance to go deep into the story and tell all the events thoroughly and detailed which is very good.

The bonus we get is a text by Robin Furth about the magic we believe in and what effect it has on us.

Lilja's final words about The Road of Trials #4:

The comic keeps growing and it still surprise me with each issue.
