Captain Trips #1

In this the first issue we get a short introduction to some of the main characters including Stu, Fran and Larry. My guess is that they will continue to introduce the rest of the main characters as we get more issues released and it feels like the right way to go since it would be too much info in one issue if we got introduced to all the characters in this first issue.
All the main characters that get introduced in this (Stu, Fran and Larry) are very true to King’s story and they all look very realistic. Mike Perkins has done a very good job in transforming them from King’s written word to the comic pages. The issue is also very well written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and he, like Mike, has done a very good job in capturing King’s voice from the book and transformed it for the comic.
I’m really happy with how this first issue turned out. I thought it would be good before I read it but I didn’t dare to hope that it would be as good as it actually is and I can’t wait to see what’s in store in the upcoming issues when we’ll get to meet characters like Nick, Mother Abigail, Flagg and all the others.
We also get a bonus in the form of some sketches from the sketch book that was given out some time ago.

Lilja's final words about Captain Trips #1:
So, the race is on and I am very happy with what I have seen so far. I also quite sure I’ll continue to feel that way as more issues are released and for that I thank you Mike and Roberto!
