Richie Tozier And Bill Denbrough Cast?

Entertainment Weekly reports that Bill Hader and James McAvoy is in talks to play Richie Tozier and Bill Denbrough in the second movie.

Pennywise may have located the grown-up Richie Tozier and Bill Denbrough, sources confirm to EW.

Bill Hader is in talks to star in the sequel to It as the motor-mouthed joker Richie (played in the first film by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard), and James McAvoy is negotiating to take on the role of Bill (originated by Midnight Special actor Jaeden Lieberher).

As previously reported, Jessica Chastain is in talks to play the adult Beverly Marsh, the part previously played by Sophia Lillis.

The home release of IT is getting closer and you’ll have a lot of versions to pick from. Besides the regular release Best Buy, Target and Wallmart all have their own versions of the release. However, it looks like the only real difference between the editions is the cover.

What is your thought on this. Are they giving you extra value for your money or are they just trying to get us all to buy an extra copy of the movie?

Directors Cut Of IT In 2018

Bloody Disgusting reports about a Director's Cut of IT coming next year.

We reached out to Muschietti on Instagram earlier today, asking him if that planned Director’s Cut was still on the menu. “Yes, but in a few months,” he replied.

From what we gather, the Director’s Cut of IT will have all of those deleted/extended scenes put back into it, and we can’t help but wonder if that already infamous “Pennywise eats a baby” scene, absent from next month’s discs, will also be included in the extended version. We’re thinking that scene, and perhaps others, are being held back for the Director’s Cut release in the coming months, as added double dip incentives.

Disturbing Scene Cut From IT

Bill Skarsgård revealed in an interview that IT originally included a scene that even he considered "disturbing."

"There was a scene we shot that was a flashback from the 1600s, before Pennywise [was Pennywise]," he explained on an episode of Variety's Playback podcast. "The scene turned out really, really disturbing. And I'm not the clown. I look more like myself. It's very disturbing, and sort of a backstory for what It is, or where Pennywise came from."

Hopefully it will be included on the DVD/Blu-ray edition or in the second movie. Read more here.

Gary Dauberman Hired For IT Part 2

Sounds like the second IT is getting closer. No definite word yet but it looks good...

New Line is making strides on the “It” sequel, hiring writer Gary Dauberman to work on the script.

Andy Muschietti, who directed “It,” is expected to return for the second installment, although he has not closed a deal yet. Producers Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg are believed to be back as well.

IT's Here; My Review Of IT

My review of IT is out. But please note that there are spoilers. Enjoy!.

I was worried that the high expectations that were placed on this movie based on all the things we saw before its premier would be too much and it would be caught in the fact that it was a good movie but people’s expectations were inhumanly high resulting in people still being disappointed. Well, that didn't happen and the movie lived up to my expectations and for that I'm extremely happy!

Ready For IT Part 2

The team behind IT is ready to go when they get GO.

"We are locked and loaded and ready to jump in the minute they say 'go,'" said Producer Seth Grahame-Smith. "The script is not done, but the script is being worked on. Obviously we, all the filmmakers, are just champing at the bit to get started, and we have a very exciting shape, and [It co-writer Gary Dauberman] is working away."

Here is an interview with Andy Muschietti and a new photo of Pennywise.

If the Muschiettis get their way, It will just be the first of several Stephen King-related projects to make it to the screen. The siblings own the rights to King’s sci-fi horror short The Jaunt, which was first published in 1981.

But they really want to tackle a big-screen redo of 1983’s Pet Sematary.

“We’re huge fans of Pet Sematary,” Muschietti says. “If we can get our hands on that and do the Pet Sematary we want to do, that will be something. One day, maybe.”

…the younger cast IS returning in some form for the second movie. There'll be flashbacks to stuff we don't see in this movie that informs the story of the adults returning to Derry.

…during casting they considered casting a woman as Pennywise.

Comic Con is here and this year both Mr Mercedes and IT are present and this is what we can expect.

Pennywise Stalks San Diego

It looks like Pennywise has left Maine and is lurking around Comic-Con. That is why there will be a massive man hunt and a huge game of hide and seek taking place.

All week during SDCC (Thursday – Saturday) we will be posting clues on Twitter and around Comic-Con as to the whereabouts of Pennywise. Follow @BoomHowdy and @DownrightCreepy on Twitter and search for #SDCCWeFloat to get clues and updates on the man hunt. If we see Pennywise we will let you know where his location is and you must get there as fast as you can to catch him and save Georgie from getting snatched up. If you do so you might be rewarded by the Deery Police Department with a sweet prize that is fitting of 1989 when the film takes place.
