I stumbled across your great site through a link on Moviehole's excerpt of the Frank Darabont interview. Fantastic interview. Shawshank & Stand By Me would have to be my fave movie adaptations of King books. I have a feeling I'm going to like The Mist very much. Love the story.
Your interview with Stephen was just wonderful. He's a writer who's books I liked to read now & again as I went through my early to mid 20s (too long ago now to worry about, lol) but by my late 20s had become a writer who's books I just had to have when I could afford them. I have a son who like me measures many other writers against King & finds them lacking a certain something.
According to my son that something is ability. :)

Very cool!!! I would love to have the opportunity you recieved. To sit down with the man and just have a casual conversation. I am in awe of you. And it is so refreshing to see that after all these years, King, is still just a simple guy from Maine. Truly insperational.

Thank you so much for the interview! Very original and well thought-out! The questions truly reflect the highest credit on the interviewer! Just one question please just out of perverse women's curiosity: Since the interview was over the phone what S.King's voice is like? husky? low? high-pitched?

Hi Lilja
I just dropped by to tell you that I really enjoy the interview you did with Stephen. He seems to trust you, and that is a perfect foundation for a good and interesting interview.
Also, I want to thank you for all the links to podcasts you supplied during King's visit in the UK. Some of them are really interesting, and I am glad I had a chance to download them.
Please keep up the good work and always remember - Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter

Stephen King has cool hair, notice how he has one black streak in his greying hair? that's cool, that's a sign of genius or supernatural power or something. It's real too.

Your site is wonderful. I have been building a King library, hardback of course, for 13 years and with all of the information you have in this very site I now see what I still have yet to accomplish. I intend to pass this library down to my 3 children, all girls and I hope that they appreciate Mr. King''s works as much as I have over the years.

P.S. It is very difficult to name a favorite King book, as I also enjoyed the original "The Shining" just as much. It still gives me the hibbie jibbies!! So does the movie- it literally scares me silly, which in my book equals a good horror movie! Some say Jack N. was way over the top, but he was convincing as hell to me - and I was watching the movie in the afternoon! Again, thanks for the site. Thank you Mr. King for your talents and your time and please continue to scare the bejesus out of us for as long as your heart desires.

Very cool site. A great resource for any King fan. Can't wait for the Talisman movie!

Here's a bit of info some of you may or may not be aware of. A band called Farpoint has a song inspired by the Dark Tower series, and, as I understand it, Wizard and Glass in particular. It's called "Nevermore" and it's on an album called "Grace." Their cd's are available at www.cdbaby.com for anyone interested. Just thought I'd share that in case there are any other Stephen King fans who are music lovers.

Keep up the great work on the site!

This is one of the best, most informative sights on the works of King I have ever come across. I love the layout as it is easy on the eyes and very user friendly. The color scheme is great and there is no need to squint to see the print.
Keep up the great work Lilja and I look forward to visiting here daily now that I have you bookmarked.

Cheers.

Hello Lilja,

I just received my copy of Lisey's Story from the UK that I won in your last contest. I am just thrilled to have it and thank you very much for your generosity.
Your meeting in London with King sounds very exciting. I would have been speechless or too nervous to talk. I hope you will have many more meetings with him!

Kind regards,
Hannah

Hey Lilja! Was that your first time meeting King? You should have told him who you were! I bet that he knows 'of' you. Didja get to shake his hand at least?

Ah well, blame it on King, he messes with my train of thought each time I am face to face with him, too. ;)

Long days and pleasant nights!

Great site. More info than the official site! I have been a fan since when I was 12 I lived in an almost deserted hotel for a year with my family. At the time I had heard about The Shining and got the book. Man was I hooked. Can you imagine the power that book had over me. Deserted corriders, empty kitchens and hotel rooms I ran past a little bit quicker than others, because I got the fear. I have been a fan since. Even more bizarre my middle name is Danny. I live in Bangor, NI and of course check out my first name!! But I've never had a St. Bernard....
