Get there early!

I bet that not many of you have missed that King is doing a promotion tour for Revival in November and from what I have heard a lot of you will be attending. With that there has been a lot of questions posted all over the net about when to get in line and such and I really don’t have any solution or “the correct answer” but my advice to you is this: Get there early! Maybe even camp out. This is a once (or maybe twice) in a lifetime chance so what if you’ll be super tired and broke when it’s over? It will be worth it. And if you get there early I bet you’ll meet a lot of interesting King fans that will help you pass the time.

I have seen King twice. The first time was when he was in London 2006. I was there for 4 days and during that time I went to 3 signing, 1 reading, 1 publisher’s party and 1 press conference. I can honestly say that those 4 days are among the best in my life. You can read more about them here and it might give you an idea of what to expect.

The second time I meet King was 2013 I Hamburg. This was a much shorter trip and I was only in Germany for about 24 hours but during that time I went to a Meet & Greet with King (like a signing but with a lot, and I do mean a lot, less people) and a reading. This was totally different from my experience in London but again, those 24 hours are among my favorites. You can read more about it here.

Anyhow, here are some things to consider before you attend.
1. Be there early. As I said what does it matter if you are tired and have to live on water and air afterwards?

2. Bring your camera. King won’t pose with you but since you have been there early (if you follow my advice) you will have made some friends standing in line and I bet one of those will take a picture of you and King while he signs.

3. Enjoy the moment. This might end up being one of the best days in your life.
